Neymar Jr.’s comment after Paris Saint-Germain’s victory against Manchester United FC to ESPN, expressing his desire to play again with Lionel Messi, did not take long for the football media to fan the rumors.
With Messi’s contract expiring at the end of the season, it’s no surprise that his former teammate is urging him to come to the French capital. If Les Parisiens decide to sell Kylian Mbappé to Real Madrid as Messi could provide a short-term solution.
Ahead of the capital club’s fixture against Montpellier, manager Thomas Tuchel also spoke about it the matter during his press conference, making it clear that he didn’t know Neymar would say something about Messi to the media.
“I didn’t talk to him about that thing. I can’t talk about that thing. I have a lot of respect for Barcelona and Messi. I’m a PSG coach, so I can’t talk about this thing,” Tuchel said.
