Nearly three years ago, Real Madrid spent €45 million when they purchased a 16-year-old Vinícius Júnior from Clube de Regatas do Flamengo. However, the Brazil international has yet to find his footing with Los Blancos searching for consistent minutes as a starter.
During the 2019-20 season, the 20-year-old appeared in 29 matches for Real Madrid but only started 12 while averaging 47 minutes per game, according to SofaScore. This season, his minutes seem to be improving as he’s made 12 appearances with eight starts and averaging 62 minutes per game.
Although Vinícius Júnior is seeing an increase in minutes, his future might not lie with Real Madrid. El Confidencial reports that Real Madrid is open to the idea of loaning out the forward. The Spanish media outlet states that Los Blancos have offers from England, Italy, and even Paris Saint-Germain.
Real Madrid and PSG do have a working relationship after their deal for Keylor Navas, and a loan would be an economical move for the capital club. Perhaps Vinícius Júnior playing alongside Neymar Jr. will do some good for the young Brazilian.
