Report: Pochettino’s Yearly Salary Agreement With PSG Will be Less Than What Tuchel Made While With the Club

Now-former Paris Saint-Germain manager Thomas Tuchel has officially been relieved of his duties with the club. Tuchel and PSG’s board came to terms on a buyout agreement that will see him take €6 million.

With this agreement completed, PSG shifted its focus to new manager Mauricio Pochettino. The Argentine manager has signed his contract with the club as what is left for both sides is the official announcement, which is expected soon.

For Pochettino, he is slated to receive less than what Tuchel made during his time as the club’s manager. Le Parisien notes that Tuchel made €625,000 euros gross per month, which put him around €7.5 million per year. This amount varied as it included bonuses in the agreement. For instance, the report notes that the German manager hauled in a bonus for reaching the UEFA Champions League final last season.

Pochettino will reportedly be earning a slightly lower salary than what Tuchel garnered per month. More so, it remains to be seen whether the Argentine’s contract will also include set bonuses.

Pochettino will be making his PSG managerial debut next week during the team’s away Ligue 1 fixture against AS Saint-Etienne. PSG currently is sitting at third place in the league table.
