Report: Pereira Set to Miss PSG’s Next Two Games Due to Injury

Paris Saint-Germain’s Danilo Pereira has been one of the team’s most reliable midfielders this season. But now, he is expected to miss time due to injury.

Pereira earned a start out as a defender in PSG’s recent home Ligue 1 fixture against Lorient. The Portuguese talent only lasted 11 minutes as he was subsequently subbed off the pitch due to an injury. At the time, the injury was not deemed to be a significant one as he walked off the pitch in what was presumed to be a hamstring issue.

Now, PSG is taking the conservative approach with Pereira’s slight injury as he is not expected to play in the rest of the team’s fixtures this month, according to a report from Le Parisien. Pereira underwent examinations with his slight hamstring injury and the club reportedly feels that it is best to hold out the midfielder from its fixtures against Lille OSC and Strasbourg.

More so, the report adds that Neymar remains a doubt for PSG’s upcoming fixture against Lille due to an ankle injury while Marquinhos is expected to be back from his slight hip issue.

PSG needs the win against Lille if the club aspires to re-take first place in the Ligue 1 standings.
