With Paris Saint-Germain having punched its ticket to the UEFA Champions League knockout stage, the team now awaits the upcoming Round of 16 draw on Monday. There are many intriguing possible draws that PSG could end up with, but of course, Barcelona stands out as the prized potential matchup.

For former French national team manager Raymond Domenech, he is all in with having Barcelona be drawn to face PSG in the next round of the competition. Domenech knows (via L’Equipe) the key storyline that would be of note if PSG ends up being matched up with Barca.

“I hope that PSG will fall on Barça, it would be an extraordinary, attractive poster,” Domenech said. “We want to see Messi at the Parc des Princes, even if it is not with Paris.

“Barca is a young team with big defensive problems but also offensive concerns. Messi would have to be exceptional. But on his own he will not succeed.”

The headliner from his potential matchup would evidently be Messi going up against PSG star Neymar. They spent four seasons together at Barca and rumors have swirled as of late about the two possibly reuniting as soon as next season. But to watch these two on the pitch at the same time once again would be a sight to see for any football fan.
