Paris Saint-Germain came away with a significant 1-0 victory over RB Leipzig that saw them leapfrog the German club in the standings in Group H as Les Parisiens now sit in second place.
Leandro Paredes got the start in the midfield for the capital club, and the 26-year-old played 90 minutes where he 55 touches, completed 33 of 44 passes for a 75-percent completion rate, and five interceptions.
After the match, the Argentina international spoke with PSG TV to discuss the win.
“We knew it would be a very difficult game, very physical. Neymar did not have much of a match in his legs; neither did Kylian. I think we played the game together to get this very important result,” Paredes said. “We knew we had to have possession. At times we did it. We had to serve the attackers. We played the game we needed. The victory is at the end. We are very happy.”
