Video: Thilo Kehrer on Di María, RB Leipzig, and Playing Without Neymar and Mbappé

Paris Saint-Germain will head into their UEFA Champions League matchday three fixture against RB Leipzig shorthanded. The capital club will have to pick up three crucial points without Neymar Jr. and Kylian Mbappé.

Thilo Kehrer took to the podium to speak to the media against Leipzig to discuss various topics. The first is the current form of Ángel Di María, who they’ll rely on to help generate offense with their two superstars out.

“I can feel it. He is professional and always gives 100% in every game and training. For tomorrow I feel the same,” Kehrer said.

Kehrer then touched on what the PSG squad will have to do to pick up a victory over Leipzig.

“For us, the key will be to have a good structure and organization. We will prepare well for tomorrow’s game,” Kehrer said. “It is important to maintain the quality of a group that is collectively strong and united, and to help everyone win tomorrow.”

The Germany international then provided his opinion over Leipzig and what he expects from the German club.

“It’s a team that has moved into the German championship for a few years. They play with a lot of energy, good pressing, and quality players. That’s why they are third in the Bundesliga and have been for a few years,” Kehrer said.

“They have players who work a lot and a style that is not easy to play, very high and aggressive. Be careful. As soon as they get the ball back, they play forward.”

Finally, the 24-year-old then discussed the absences of Neymar and Mbappé.

“It is true that they are two players who have a lot of quality. We have other injured players who also have quality,” Kehrer said. “We also have a lot of players on the squad who have quality, experience, and personality. We are confident, and the goal is to win tomorrow.”
