For Paris Sain-Germain Féminine, the fixture at the Parc des Princes against Olympique Lyonnais is a significant one as a win for the capital club to overtake Lyon atop of the Division 1 Féminine table.
PSG midfielder Sara Däbritz spoke with the media ahead of the biggest match in women’s French football, where she mentioned some key points to face Lyon.
“In the last match of the Champions League, he decided on the details. It is important that each player gives 100%. We have a strong and good quality group. It is important to be focused from the first minutes,” Däbritz said.
The German international then touched on Lyon, who’s arguably the best squad in women’s football and has got the best of PSG in recent years.
“We know the quality of Lyon; they are the leaders in Europe,” Däbritz said. “But we also know our own qualities. Since the beginning of the season, we have scored many goals (36) and conceded one goal. We want to play risky, but we also want to have fun. It’s the best game in the best stadium, and we can’t wait”.
