Report: Tuchel’s Departure Not on the Agenda as PSG’s Brass Meet in Qatar To Evaluate Season

According to L’Équipe, a meeting will occur in Qatar to analyze the near future of Paris Saint-Germain. This summit is taking place in Doha and had as its primary objective to discuss different issues.

For PSG sporting director Leonardo, it is the opportunity to seek the dismissal of manager Thomas Tuchel because their relationship is not exactly going well. It is also known to all that in recent weeks, several French football media analysts have questioned.

The German coach’s contract with PSG runs through June 30, 2021, but many are calling for Tuchel to be fired right at this moment. However, with the coronavirus pandemic affecting the business side of football, Les Parisiens might consider not firing him because they’d have to pay Tuchel plus having to pay another manager.

More than likely if the economics force the capital club to hold onto Tuchel and let his contract run out. Nonetheless, the final word will come from Doha. However, Tuchel previously commented to the press after their 2-1 loss to RB Leipzig.

“Do I feel in danger of defeat? Not at all. I also have no problem with the club. We have played against a team that was leading in the Bundesliga, and we have been close to 2-0. I’m not afraid for my position,” Tuchel said.

Regardless of opinions and comments, the final decision is made in Doha. For his part, Tuchel has no illusions about his Parisian future.
