Report: Thomas Tuchel Won’t Be the Only One Leaving Paris if PSG Underperforms This Season

With one season left in his contract, it’s safe to say that Paris Saint-Germain manager Thomas Tuchel is a lame-duck coach, considering that capital sporting director Leonardo didn’t hire the German. Furthermore, with both men, at times disagreeing with one another publicly through the media, they should part ways.

However, many assume that the one to leave will be Tuchel because of his contract status. Thus, it will allow Leonardo to handpick a manager that he would like to work with; however, that might not be a clear cut as some might think.

According to L’Equipe (via Sport.fr), Leonardo is also in danger of losing his job if Les Parisiens underperform and don’t qualify for the knockout stages of the UEFA Champions League. The French media outlet adds that ownership will probably have questions about the Brazilians future if PSG underperforms.

If the capital club can’t get their season back on track in the Champions League competition, there might be some house cleaning going on next summer.
