Report: PSG Optimistic Over Neymar’s Possible Availability for Fixture Against RB Leipzig

Paris Saint-Germain is set for a must-win UEFA Champions League group stage clash against RB Leipzig upon return from the ongoing international break. If the game was hypothetically set for today, the club likely does not go on to play in the contest with the likes of Neymar, who is still dealing with an adductor injury. Still, in the big picture, the club is hopeful that the forward will be able to recover in time for the game against Leipzig on Nov. 24, according to a report from L’Equipe.

Neymar is slated to be back with the club on Sunday. He was called up by the Brazilian national team to appear in its 2022 World Cup qualifying fixtures this month, but the injury ruled him out from any action with them, so officials for the association decided to release the forward early.

For now, Neymar will be spending this week rehabbing his injury. It is not deemed likely that Neymar will be fully fit in time to play in PSG’s upcoming Ligue 1 fixture against AS Monaco. It may not even be smart for the club to roll him out for the game if he is able to make a full recovery from the injury by then. The hope for the club is that he recovers from the injury with no setbacks in order to have him focused on the Leipzig contest.
