Report: PSG Made an Offer to Sign a Real Madrid Transfer Target Over the Summer Transfer Window

Napoli midfielder Fabian Ruiz has emerged as one of the most coveted midfielders in the sport today. With his ability to show a semblance of being a box-to-box midfielder, he has attracted the attention of several European clubs. For one, Paris Saint-Germain went as far as making an offer to sign the talent over the recent summer transfer window, according to a report from the Italian-based outlet CalcioMercato.it.

Napoli evidently turned down PSG’s proposed offer. The Italian club also received an offer from Atletico Madrid, which the club also turned away.

Ruiz is also on the radar of Real Madrid. The report mentions that had it not been for the coronavirus shutdown, the club would have made an offer of €80 million to Napoli for the midfielder.

However, Ruiz is open to engaging in talks with Napoli about a possible contract extension deal. The report mentions that he is simply awaiting a call from Napoli to jump-start such talks. He has two more years left on his contract following this season.

It remains to be seen whether PSG will once again make a push to sign the promising midfield talent away from Napoli. For the Ligue 1 side, Ruiz’s versatility and overall keen production in the midfield would be a significant addition to a club in need of such play.
