Report: PSG Leaning Towards Signing Florenzi Away from AS Roma on a Permanent Transfer Deal

Alessandro Florenzi has been a pleasant surprise for Paris Saint-Germain this season. After splitting time last season with his parent club AS Roma and with Valencia on a loan stint, Florenzi has emerged as one of the top attacking full-backs in Ligue 1 in the ongoing campaign.

Florenzi has not only established a place as PSG starting right-back, but he has also been chipping in with key goal contributions.

PSG is already considering triggering the buy option in Florenzi’s loan deal and signing him away from Roma on a permanent transfer deal, according to a report from the Italian-based outlet Corriere dello Sport. PSG is reportedly satisfied with Florenzi’s showings this season. PSG would also not have much of an issue paying the purchase option fee for the talent, which is currently set at €9 million.

At this rate, it will only be inevitable before PSG does decide to trigger this purchase option. Florenzi won PSG’s starting right-back job away from Thilo Kehrer and the transfer fee is a reasonable amount regardless of the team’s financial standing.
