The Neymar to FC Barcelona rumors just continued to churn.
According to the Spanish-based outlet Sport, multiple FC Barcelona presidential candidates have contacted Neymar to inquire about his interest in returning to the Catalan club.
With the recent resignation of now-former Barcelona president Josep Bartomeu, Barca has called for elections in January to determine its next club president. Seven candidates have already announced their intention to run for the role.
As it pertains to this report from Sport, it is unclear just which candidates reached out to Neymar to touch on this matter.
The report adds that Neymar currently does not intend on signing a new extension deal with Paris Saint-Germain. Instead, he is eyeing a return to Barcelona and is even more intrigued by the idea of such a return now that the club will soon have a new president.
Neymar was not necessarily on good terms with Bartomeu following his transfer move to PSG. But now with Bartomeu no longer in the picture, the forward could possibly have some interest in going all-in to return to the club.
