Report: Mbappe Missed Training on Monday Ahead of PSG’s Champions League Fixture Against RB Leipzig

Paris Saint-Germain held a training session on Monday ahead of its UEFA Champions League group stage fixture against RB Leipzig. Forward Kylian Mbappe did miss the training session as he instead underwent care on his right thigh, according to a report from RMC Sport.

Mbappe’s right thigh issue is not deemed to be an injury for the forward. Still, the club is remaining cautious with Mbappe’s condition in order to not aggravate a possible serious injury.

While Mbappe missed today’s training session, his status for the team’s fixture against Leipzig is still up in the air. The forward was among the team’s most reliable players over last month’s heavy congestion of fixtures. He may be due for a rest but the club likely may not be able to afford to provide him with one considering that Neymar is already ruled out for the fixture against Leipzig due to an adductor injury.

If Mbappe plays against Leipzig, he could then possibly be rested for the team’s upcoming league fixture against Stade Rennais.
