Report: Key Players on PSG Squad Remain Behind Thomas Tuchel Despite the Loss To RB Leipzig

When Paris Saint-Germain lost to RB Leipzig on matchday three of the UEFA Champions League, the calls for the firing of manager Thomas Tuchel were as loud as ever.

However, after the match, capital club captain Marquinhos made it known that they’re behind their German manager. Nonetheless, the newly acquired Danilo Pereira might not share that sentiment as he made it clear after their loss that he’s a midfielder and not a defender

As Les Parisiens find themselves in third place for Group H, they’re facing the reality of Europa League nights instead of advancing to the knockout stages of the Champions League.

Despite the cries calling for Tuchel’s job, Le Parisien reports that the players on the squad remain behind him and so far hasn’t lost the locker room, especially after their run to the Champions League final in Lisbon last August.

Furthermore, the French media outlet adds that the squad’s key players believe the German manager is being targeted. If Tuchel does indeed go, sporting director Leonardo will have to go into the locker room and explain why it was the best decision for the club, with players reportedly standing behind Tuchel.
