Inter Milan is one club that always seems to have its sights on free transfer deals. In the current uncertain financial times within football, many other teams may also follow suit on free or affordable transfer agreements. But with Inter, the club is already beginning to monitor a few upcoming free agents. For one, the club is now showing an early interest in Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Angel Di Maria, according to a report from Tuttosport (via Le10Sport).
Inter would consider making a push to sign the PSG talent if he is still slated to become a free agent next year, which currently remains the case. Di Maria’s current contract with PSG is set to be up in 2021, which would then make him free to sign with any team without the need of a club having to post a transfer fee to acquire him.
Di Maria is among several other PSG talents who are set to soon become free agents. But from Di Maria’s perspective, he is eyeing staying with the club. So for now, the ball is on PSG’s court as it pertains to making the call on Di Maria’s future with the club. If the two sides do not reach a deal on an extension, Inter and any other club will be able to subsequently make an approach to sign the midfielder on a free transfer agreement.
