Report: Inter Milan Linked With Bernat for a Possible Free Transfer Deal in 2021

Inter Milan is one of several European teams that already eyeing next year’s summer transfer window. For one, this window will be one to watch because of the multitude of key players who will become free agents. Paris Saint-Germain defender Juan Bernat will be among those who will be eligible to sign with any team on a free transfer deal, and Tuttosport (via CalcioMercato) is now linking the Spanish talent to Inter.

Bernat is currently out of action due to an ACL injury that he suffered during a Ligue 1 fixture in September. He is currently set to become a free agent next year.

PSG and Bernat had talked about a possible contract extension deal earlier this year, but the two sides ended up reaching a standstill on this matter.

PSG sporting director Leonardo did recently note that the club has reopened contract talks with Bernat, and it remains to be seen whether a deal will soon come to fruition.

If Bernat ends up becoming a free agent, Inter Milan could possibly express interest in signing him as a free transfer. Bernat is more of an attacking full-back, so he could be of quality use for manager Antonio Conte in his three-at-the-back setup.
