Report: Icardi Remains a First Choice Option for Juventus

Juventus has been enjoying potent play from the center forward position so far this season. Alvaro Morata, who is on loan from Atletico Madrid, continues to rejuvenate his play and is once again becoming a stout goal-scoring threat. Still, Juventus is not giving up on its interest in current Paris Saint-Germain forward Mauro Icardi, who the club views as a first-choice option, according to a report from the Italian-based outlet CalcioMercato.

Icardi has long been on the radar of Juventus, which the report hits on. And even after being months removed from signing a permanent transfer deal with PSG, Juventus still has an eye on possibly bringing in the talent down the road. Thus, while the club has not been heavily rumored to make an attempt to sign away Icardi from PSG, Juventus is still monitoring his situation there.

The report also mentions that Icardi also views Juventus as a first-choice transfer option as well. More so, his wife and representative, Wanda Nara, is on good terms with Juventus chief football officer Fabio Paratici. So, if transfer discussions ever transpire between the two sides, there will not be much disagreement between Icardi’s entourage and Juventus.

The report concludes by hinting at an Icardi and Paulo Dybala swap deal, although this is mere speculation.

For PSG, Icardi remains its starting center forward for the time being.
