Report: AC Milan Looking to Bring PSG Striker Back to Italy

Mauro Icardi is currently dealing with a Medial Collateral Ligament Knee injury, and his future is still unresolved. The Argentine striker has never had a good relationship with Paris Saint-Germain manager Thomas Tuchel.

The rocky relationship was evident during the UEFA Champions League’s resumption back in August. Icardi started in the quarter-finals matchup against Atalanta BC. However, after a subpar performance, Icardi didn’t make another appearance.

With injuries and his below expectation performance, it’s why increased rumors surrounding a return to Italy are beginning to surface for Icardi, specifically heading back to Milan. After a messy break up with Inter Milan, don’t expect a reunion with Inter Milan, but crosstown rivals AC Milan are showing interest.

According to Italian sports journalist Tiziano Crudeli, who made an appearance on 7Gold (via Pianeta Milan), discussed a potential transfer of Icardi from the capital club to I Rossoneri.

“Who could arrive in Milan? There is always talk of the possibility that Mauro Icardi could leave PSG and return to Italy,” Crudeli said. “This time, however, Inter will not be the Argentine’s possible destination. Wanda Nara, agent of the football player, according to the rumors that arrive, would be pushing to bring Mauro Icardi to Milan, the Rossoneri side. Maurito’s wife and attorney has always been in love with Milan and would dream of returning to Italy. We will see if the speeches can be deepened over the next few months. It would be a sensational scenario for Milan.”

Moise Kean seems to be establishing himself but is only at PSG on loan from Everton FC. Furthermore, Tuchel likely won’t be around next season, so it will be interesting to what PSG sporting director Leonardo decides to do with Icardi, who he spent €50 million-plus a €5 million bonus last summer.
