Paris Saint-Germain has officially ruled out defender Marquinhos from its upcoming Ligue 1 fixture against Bordeaux, the team announced on its official website.
Marquinhos recently played in PSG’s UEFA Champions League group stage fixture against RB Leipzig. He featured in the entire game for Tuchel’s side. But now, he is dealing with a slight adductor issue, which several players on the team this season have been faced with. PSG did not announce that Marquinhos has been diagnosed with a significant adductor injury. Instead, PSG declared that it is holding Marquinhos out for the contest as a small precaution and will evaluate his condition in 48 hours.
PSG should have a further determination with Marquinhos’ status following this time period. As mentioned, this issue for the Brazilian is not deemed to be an injury, but the club simply wants to take no risks with these kinds of slight issues.
