Official Lineup: Paredes on the Bench for PSG’s Champions League Fixture Against RB Leipzig

Paris Saint-Germain’s October injury crisis has currently carried over into November. The club is currently without five players due to injury or fatigue-related reasons. Thus, manager Thomas Tuchel has had to once again shake up his starting 11. This is how Tuchel is lining up his side for the pivotal UEFA Champions League group stage contest against RB Leipzig.

Keylor Navas is taking his usual starting spot as the team’s goalkeeper. Navas is aiming to repeat his performance from the group stage contest against Istanbul Basaksehir where he recorded multiple key saves to preserve the clean sheet.

In the defense, right-back Alessandro Florenzi is returning to the starting 11 after being out for the recent Ligue 1 fixture against FC Nantes due to rest-related reasons. Danilo Pereira and Presnel Kimpembe will form the center-back duo for the team.

With no Marco Verratti and Julian Draxler, Tuchel is rolling with Marquinhos to once again earn a start for the club in the midfield. Ander Herrera will take on the base midfield role. Tuchel will also have Leandro Paredes available off the bench for this contest as he is now fit for in-game action after recovering from a right thigh injury.

Neymar, Kylian Mbappe and Mauro Icardi are all not available for Tuchel. Thus, the German manager is rolling with Angel Di Maria, Moise Kean and Pablo Sarabia to form the attacking trio upfront in the 4-3-3 setup. It will be interesting to see how this trio plays on the pitch as it will be their first time together leading the team’s attack.

PSG needs this win to keep hold of a top-two spot in its Champions League group.
