Official Lineup: Neymar and Mbappe Set to Lead PSG for Champions League Clash Against RB Leipzig

In just a couple of months into the season, Paris Saint-Germain is already faced with a season-defining fixture. PSG currently stands in third place within its UEFA Champions League group and is now set to face RB Leipzig for a key contest. With the pressure mounting on PSG after a sluggish start to the season, manager Thomas Tuchel is rolling out this starting 11 against RB Leipzig for what is essentially a must-win fixture for the club.

Keylor Navas is starting for the club out at the goalkeeper position. The Costa Rican goalkeeper allowed a pair of goals in his last outing against RB Leipzig, but he did show up with a couple of key saves early in the fixture.

With Presnel Kimpembe out for the contest due to a red card suspension, team captain Marquinhos is taking his spot as a center-back for the team. On the other hand, PSG will need attacking contributions from its duo of fullbacks in Mitchel Bakker and Alessandro Florenzi.

With Tuchel apparently going with a 4-3-3 setup, Leandro Paredes, Danilo Pereira and Ander Herrera will lead PSG in the midfield. This contest may come down to which of the two team’s midfield units will be more aggressive and assertive in between the lines.

Tuchel is rolling with Neymar, Kylian Mbappe and Angel Di Maria to form the team’s attacking trio upfront. These three world-class talents have not yet had that one signature Champions League performance so far this season. But if PSG will have any chance of coming away with a convincing win, the club will need stout attacking contributions from this trio.

PSG needs a win to relieve some of the pressure that it has faced as of late.
