Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar is well-known for delivering in key games for the club. The Brazilian forward once again showed up in a must-win contest as he scored a key penalty goal early in the first half of PSG’s UEFA Champions League return group stage fixture against RB Leipzig. The goal gave PSG a much-needed 1-0 lead over the Bundesliga side, which also turned out to be the game-winner.

The goal was Neymar’s 36th Champions League goal of his career. Neymar scored 21 Champions League goals while with FC Barcelona and now has added another 15 during his current run with PSG.

This was all long-awaited for Neymar as he finally broke a tie with former PSG forward Edinson Cavani on the all-time Champions League goals list. As per the official website of UEFA, Cavani has scored 35 Champions League goals over his career thus far. Out of Cavani’s 35 Champions League goals, 30 of them came while with PSG.
