Neymar Jr.’s tenure with Paris Saint-Germain got off to a rocky start as the Brazil international dealt with various injuries that caused him to miss significant UEFA Champions League matches.
Perhaps that supporters felt frustrated with the superstar missing knockout stages and not connecting to the supporters. It led to the 28-year-old wanting to leave the capital club during the 2019 summer transfer window after feeling that his career has stalled while in Paris.
Nonetheless, despite wanting his exit, Neymar remained with PSG for the 2019-20 season. Furthermore, it seems as though Brazil international wishes to extend his contract with Les Parisiens, according to Brazilian journalist Isabela Pagliari who was on Europe 1 (via Canal Supporters) to elaborate on Neymar’s future.
“Neymar feels at ease in Paris. He loves the club, and everything has changed compared to his initial desires,” Pagliari said. “This is something he is considering. There are already discussions with the club, but there is nothing signed or done. He changed his mindset.”
PSG sporting director will try his best to extend both Neymar and Kylian Mbappé, but if one is likely to re-sign with the capital club, it will be the 28-year-old.
