Every Monday, the CIES Football Observatory has a weekly post over the main events concerning football. This week, the sports media outlet decided to tackle a unique subject when it comes to the most expensive players who are 20-years-old or younger.
The list has the top 100 players, and number one on the list is FC Bayern Munich left-back Alphonso Davis. The Canada international’s transfer value is at €180-million per CIES Football Observatory.
After Davis, it’s Borussia Dortmund attacker Jadon Sancho, whose value is at €125.6-million and FC Barcelona’s Ansu Fati, who has a value of €122.7-million. Round out the top five of the most valuable players 20 or young is Manchester United FC’s Mason Greenwood and Dortmund’s Erling Haaland.
When it comes to Paris Saint-Germain, they have two players on the most expensive list. The first is Moise Kean, who’s in 22nd on the list and has a value of €31.2-million. Coming in 39th place is Mitchel Bakker, who transfer value sits at €15-million.
Despite spending on big names, the capital club can still possess the desirable young talent that many will covet.
