‘I Feel a More Complete Player Now, a Different Person’ – Former PSG Midfielder on His Maturation Process After Joining Juventus

Adrien Rabiot is a name that sparks anger among Paris Saint-Germain supporters for how he handled his tenure in the French capital. His mother and agent, Véronique Rabiot, would often become a thorn despite the capital club catering to her son’s requests.

Perhaps meeting the demands of Rabiot created a spoiled child with Les Parisiens. Ultimately both sides parted ways as they could not agree to a contract extension, and the France international landed in Italy with Juventus FC.

His stint with The Old Lady got off to a rocky start, but Rabiot has overcome that and is a significant figure, which he owes to maturing. Perhaps getting out of his comfort zone in Paris and France, made Rabiot grow up.

Speaking with Téléfoot, he talked about his maturation and how it’s helped his career, even leading now to a call-up with the France National Team after refusing to be on the reserved squad ahead of the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

“Joining Juventus and having a change of scenery made me grow, and I feel a more complete player now, a different person,” Rabiot said. “You can see the difference it has made to my performances for France too. I waited patiently for my moment and cleared the air with the coach.”
