Sixteen years have passed since their last defeat in the Champions League group stage at the Parc des Princes. All that came to an end when Paris Saint-Germain fell 2-1 to Manchester United FC on matchday one of the UEFA Champions League.
A loss isn’t precisely how Danilo Pereira hoped that his debut with the capital club would go; nonetheless, the 29-year-old took to the microphone with Téléfoot with Canal Supporters relaying his words as the Portuguese international tried to explain the loss.
“The experience is very good, it’s always a good thing to play here at this stadium, with this club,” Pereira said. “Unfortunately we failed to win, that’s what we wanted the most. We had chances that we did not materialize, but I am happy with my debut.”
