Video: ‘These Are Teams That Play Good Football’ – Marquinhos To the Clubs in PSG’s Group After Champions League Draw

The UEFA Champions League draw for the 2020-21 season saw Paris Saint-Germain land in Group H. When it comes to the clubs joining them in that group, they’re two that supporters of Les Parisiens are quite familiar with in Manchester United FC and RB Leipzig. The other team accompanying the trio is İstanbul Başakşehir FK.

Pretty much the capital club will face United, who knocked them out in an embarrassing fashion during the Round of 16 in 2019. Then over a month ago, PSG eliminated Leipzig in the semi-finals to punch their ticket to their first final appearance. The reigning Ligue 1 champions will once again be in İstanbul, this time taking on Başakşehir instead of Galatasaray SK as they did last year.

Marquinhos, the new PSG captain, provided reactionary commentary to the club’s website over the difficulty of Group H.

“It’s not an easy group. These are three teams that have achieved great things in recent seasons, including Leipzig, the last semi-finalist,” Marquinhos said. “These are teams that play good football. We must continue our momentum. This competition is magical; we must continue the good work done so far.”
