Video: ‘It’s the Best Way To Prepare for Wednesday’s Game’ – Marquinhos on PSG’s Win Over Dijon

During the international break, Marquinhos suffered an injury to his thigh while playing for the Brazil National Team in the meeting against the Peru National Team.

The injury caused him to remain on the bench against Manchester United FC during matchday one of the UEFA Champions League group stage. The 26-year-old returned to play against Dijon FCO, but instead of playing at central defense, Marquinhos saw time in the midfield.

After the match, the capital club captain spoke with Canal Plus, where his words were relayed by Canal Supporters to discuss the victory.

“We tried to put more commitment, rhythm with the pressing, and the counter-pressing. These are the little things that we missed in the Champions League. We had to find that. We tried to use as much as possible. There were players who came back, like Draxler and me,” Marquinhos said.

“It was not our best game, but I think compared to the circumstances, it’s good to win at home and to regain the confidence, the pace of play. The most important thing was to regain the victory, especially at home. At home, you have to win. We are going to have a series of matches. It’s the best way to prepare for Wednesday’s game.”
