Report: Mitchel Bakker’s Status for Fixture Against Manchester United Is Uncertain

Paris Saint-Germain could go into their UEFA Champions League with a significant amount of players on the injury list. Marquinhos, Marco Verratti, Julian Draxler, Danilo Pereira, and Leandro Paredes are names that will either miss the fixture or could perhaps be a last-minute addition.

Nonetheless, all signs point to these players being out against Manchester United FC on Tuesday, and there’s one name that could be joining them. According to L’Équipe (via Culture PSG), Mitchel Bakker is also uncertain for the match against United, which means the capital club will have to rely on Layvin Kurzawa to start at left-back.

Already having their best defender and captain likely missing the game, Les Parisiens will be down another defender. They will need to see if Kurzawa is close to match fit, considering the 28-year-old hasn’t played since last month due to his six-match suspension.

If neither Marquinhos nor Bakker can play, it will be up to Presnel Kimpembe and Alessandro Florenzi to help guide the backline against United.
