Juventus is one team that always has its eye on bargain deals in the transfer market. For one, the club has notably been lauded for its ability to sign quality depth talents on free transfer deals. The reigning Serie A champions now look to one of the best in-form playmakers in Europe today for a possible surprise deal.
Juventus is showing interest in signing current Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Angel Di Maria on a free transfer deal next year, according to a report from the Italian-based outlet Calcio Mercato. The report touches on Juventus’ intrigue in signing players on free transfers. Not only is Juventus interested in Napoli forward Arkadiusz Milik but also Di Maria as well. The Argentine forward is set to become a free agent next year.
So far, there have been no reports of PSG showing serious intrigue in signing Di Maria to a contract extension deal. The club had the opportunity to do so over the recent transfer window, but no such agreement materialized between the two sides.
If Di Maria does become a free agent, Juventus will likely not be the only team interested in signing him. But Di Maria could become attracted to Juventus due to the possibility of reuniting with Cristiano Ronaldo and playing in a league which numerous Argentine greats have had exceptional success in.
