Report: French Media Outlet Speculates Tuchel’s Future After War of Words With Leonardo

Before the match against Angers SCO, Paris Saint-Germain manager Thomas Tuchel spoke with the media to share his concern over the lack of additions the club has made to improve the squad.

The German manager stated that he couldn’t be asked to return to the UEFA Champions League final with no recruits coming in to address weaknesses on the squad.

Nearly 24 hours later, sporting director Leonardo then took his turn speaking with the media and stated that he didn’t appreciate the comments made by Tuchel. Leonardo then added that the manager needs to respect the club and sports management department.

The war of words between both men will likely result in someone being out of a job, and according to RMC Sport, it’s probably Tuchel, whose contract expires at the end of the 2020-21 season.

Leonardo didn’t hire Tuchel and most certainly will jump at the opportunity to bring in a manager of his choosing, the French media outlet reports. However, there is a possibility Tuchel stays if he can win the Champions League.
