Former PSG Strikers’ Move To Manchester United Voted as the Worst Transfer According To Anonymous Group of Agents

The free transfer of Edinson Cavani to Manchester United continues to be a hot talking point in England. However, it’s for the wrong reasons.

The Athletic UK conducted an anonymous survey of 18 agents on who they thought was the worst transfer this summer in the Premier League.

One of the questions referred to whether the worst transfer to the Premier League this summer was Edinson Cavani, who won the bet with 28% of the votes, a transaction that many considered a panic purchase.

There was one agent who asked whether it’s a fair use of the budget? Will Manchester United do much during his stay and adding that having him on the squad seems unnecessary. Simultaneously another player representative mentioned everything that’s wrong with this transfer of Cavani to United.

“The calendar, the agents, the age, the salary, everything.” And to sum up by questioning in an “ironic” way Manchester United’s strategy: “It’s just: how are we going to sell shirts in one part of the world?”

El Matador takes the lead in this inglorious ranking well ahead of Donny Van de Beek (11-percent), another Manchester United player, and Nathan Aké (6-percent), landing on his side at Manchester City. But it is not only in this ranking that Edinson Cavani appears in a disadvantageous way.

The new number seven of the Red Devils also obtained 6-percent of the votes in the most surprising summer transfer to the Premier League. The rumors that lead the Uruguayan to Manchester United finally arrived very late after the latter had to do it.

In the framework of the first day of the UEFA Champions League’s group stage, the Uruguayan could debut with the Red Devils at Parc des Princes to take on his former club, Paris saint-Germain.
