At the end of the 2020-21 season, manager Thomas Tuchel will be without a contract. Paris Saint-Germain sporting director Leonardo didn’t hire the German, so it explains why there’s reportedly tension between them over potential additions to the squad.
Furthermore, after the capital lost to FC Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League final, a report came out over Leonardo wanting to replace Tuchel with form Juventus FC manager Massimiliano Allegri.
In his press conference ahead of Les Parisiens’ match against RC Lens, Tuchel answered a question of his future with the club and if he expects a contract extension.
“I cannot give myself a contract on my own. If they have doubts, they don’t give up. It doesn’t change anything for me,” Tuchel said. “I must create a team, I must continue this step forward. Whether we discuss it or not, it doesn’t change anything for me. It doesn’t influence me. We’ll see.”
