Report: Juventus Showing Interest in Sending Douglas Costa to PSG in Exchange for Draxler

With the current transfer window set to close in eight days, some clubs are beginning to get concerned about whether they will end up addressing all of their depth needs. Other clubs are looking to offload players, including Juventus. The Serie A side is reportedly desperate to find a suitor for one attacking talent in particular.

Juventus is showing an early interest in a swap deal that would send winger Douglas Costa to Paris Saint-Germain in exchange for midfielder Julian Draxler, according to a report from the Italian-based outlet Tuttosport (via CalcioMercato).

With injury struggles and underperformances over the years, Juventus is now aiming to find a buyer for Costa. However, this has become a difficult task for Juventus because of Costa’s age and the fact that he has just two more seasons left on his current contract.

Juventus has explored multiple options in an effort to find a club willing to sign Costa and now, he has been linked with PSG. On the other hand, PSG is attempting to offload Draxler, who has just one more season left on his current contract. Juventus is in the market for a midfielder, while PSG would like to acquire a winger for depth, so this possible deal could solve a significant transfer dilemma for both clubs.

However, Juventus reportedly does not have a high interest in acquiring Draxler, as his profile as a midfielder does not intrigue the club. But if Juventus is so desperate to offload Costa, this swap deal may be its only opportunity to do so.
