Thomas Tuchel took to the microphone after Paris Saint-Germain’s 3-0 semi-final win over RB Leipzig as Les Parisiens are advancing to their first UEFA Champions League final.

Canal Supporters relayed the German manager’s words where he gave his specifics about the win over Leipzig and whether he prefers to face Olympique Lyonnais or FC Bayern Munich in the final.

Tuchel gave his thoughts on the capital club advancing to the final.

“It’s incredible, but we are here to play the final and to win. The team did very well, with quality and determination. It was deserved with this good mix. A relaxed Thomas Tuchel? I felt the pressure before the game. It was not easy. I have players who are used to playing with this pressure and who like this pressure in these decisive matches,” Tuchel said. “It’s football, so you’re never sure. In the end, it can always be a goal and then a second for the opponent. Anything can happen in football. That’s why I’m never relaxed. The way we defended is the most important thing for me.”

PSG’s manager then discussed his game plan against Leipzig.

“We had to stay with our playing principles to control the counter-attacks in the half-spaces. Then use the accelerations of Di María, Mbappé, and Neymar and always attack from the back. As I said before the game, for me, it’s a competition for the players,” Tuchel said. “They must be comfortable with the structure and on the ground. We adapt to all opponents, but not too much. We want to show our strength. The players have again shown their hunger for victory, to work, and suffer together.”

Finally, he touched on the other semi-final match between Bayern Munich and Lyon.

“I’m just going to take the opportunity to watch this match,” Tuchel said. “It will be a great reward to watch this match tomorrow with my players and staff. We know that Bayern are favorites but it’s tough against OL. We will see.”
