Ander Herrera took to the microphone with RMC Sport to discuss Paris Saint-Germain 1-0 loss in the UEFA Champions League final against FC Bayern Munich.
The Spain international didn’t hold back how the squad feels after the loss, but despite that disappointing feeling, Herrera sees some positives. Nonetheless, the 30-year-old is proud of the team and hopes to build off this run in the Champions League.
Finally, Herrera stated that on Saturday, when PSG takes on RC Lens, it’s the start of a new journey. Hopefully, one that ends right back in the final.
“Now it feels like crap honestly. But we have to think about it, and we have done something very important. We built something important for the club for our supporters. Tomorrow, we’re going to think about what we’ve done and the group we’ve built, the things we’ve done together,” Herrera said.
“For me, it’s difficult tonight, of course, but until tomorrow, we’ll try to come back here. We did something very important. We are not going to throw everything in the trash. We had a lot of chances, maybe more than them, I think. It’s a final if you don’t score. We had 5 or 6 chances, but opposite, they had many qualities. We have to stay together, and start on Saturday for the next dream.”
