Against Atalanta BC, Paris Saint-Germain manager went with Ander Herrera to start in the midfield over Leandro Paredes. The 30-year-old played 72 minutes before coming off the pitch.

Herrera talked with RMC Sport (via Canal Supporters) post-game, where he first gave his reaction to PSG advancing to the semi-finals.

“Incredible. It’s the whole team. Everyone is there to help. Choupo only played ten minutes, and we can see what he has brought as his contract is about to end. I played today, but if I don’t play the next game, I will give it my all,” Herrera said. “We won four titles, and if you’re not a team, you can’t do it. We are very happy, very satisfied because we did what we had to do. We are in the semi-final.”

The Spain international transitioned over to discussing Atalanta, who led the majority of the match before surrendering two goals in the final stages.

“Atalanta didn’t lose a big game in Italy, but I think we played well, that we did what we said, ” Herrera said. “We played against a very different system as they score you one-on-one all over the court. We created chances. We did everything to reverse the game.”

Finally, Herrera touches on the importance of the win for the squad.

“I’ve said before that you can’t win a game like this if you’re not a team. Everyone is very important here,” Herrera said. “I would like to talk about Choupo because he is at the end of his contract, he always trains as if it was the last of his life. It’s the atmosphere we have in the team.
