The injury bug began hitting Paris Saint-Germain nearly three weeks ago Kylian Mbappé injured his ankle after a tackle by AS Saint-Étienne’s Loïc Perrin in the Coupe de France.
Since then, there’s a snowball effect on the injuries that the capital club is dealing with ahead of their UEFA Champions League quarterfinal matchup versus Atalanta BC. Marco Verratti will miss the match after sustaining a calf injury during training, and Layvin Kurzawa is also out due to a thigh injury.
Meanwhile, manager Thomas Tuchel added his name to the injury list after breaking his foot. With the match between PSG and Ataltanta hours away, RMC Sport journalist Loïc Tanzi tweeted that after the capital club’s training session, striker Mauro Icardi complained about his hip.
Petite alerte, sans gravité semble-t-il, pour Icardi à l’entraînement ce soir. L’attaquant s’est plaint de la hanche #PSG

Tanzi adds it’s not something serious; however, it is something that supporters will keep an eye on as the match progresses to see how any hip discomfort affects Icardi’s ability to have an impact.
