Paris Saint-Germain has been surveying the transfer market for forward depth. The club was recently rumored to be interested in current Hertha Berlin talent Matheus Cunha. PSG likely views the player as a possible key rotational talent who could provide valuable playing time in league and domestic cup contests. But any such interest in the Brazilian talent may be over quite soon.
According to the German-based outlet Bild, Hertha is seeking a minimum of €50 million in exchange for Cunha. The report mentions that PSG had already reached out to the German club to show relative interest in the forward. Still, Hertha has no interest in losing Cunha due to his versatility and because manager Bruno Labbadia is a fan of his. Thus, it would take an astronomical offer such as a €50M price to even consider letting go of the forward.
The report concludes by mentioning that Neymar is an advocate of such a deal possibly transpiring in the near future.
Cunha is coming off of a campaign where he scored five goals in all competitions. Hertha certainly views the talent as being a key piece with its core of forwards and one who can help the club secure a top seven Bundesliga finish once again.
