After one season in the Premier League with Newcastle United FC, Allan Saint-Maximin has attracted the interest of several big clubs, including Paris Saint-Germain.
According to the Daily Mail, PSG and all of England’s current top six clubs (and Tottenham Hotspur) are interested in Saint-Maximin who is most comfortable playing on the wings.
Newcastle manager, Steve Bruce, has called Saint-Maximin the “signing of the season” so it’s unlikely that he’ll want to depart with a player who has helped the club reach 12th place in the table.
PSG is well aware of Saint-Maximin’s quality as the 23-year-old was with OGC Nice before making the switch to Newcastle. With Angel Di Maria entering the last year of his contract, PSG’s interest in the Frenchman certainly makes sense as a potential replacement.
This season, Saint-Maximin has scored four goals and recorded seven assists in 26 appearances. Transfermarkt puts his market value at €20 million but considering his contract runs until 2025 and his breakout season, Newcastle could demand double that if PSG comes knocking.
