Kimpembe’s extension until 2024 aligns his contract with that of fellow PSG superstars Marco Verratti and Marquinhos. With Kimpembe likely taking over the starting center-back role from Thiago Silva who will leave at the end of the season, PSG has locked in the spine of their team for years to come.
With additional signings this offseason, it’s very possible that Kylian Mbappé and Neymar Jr. look around and realize PSG has built something very special and it’s worth sticking around for.
