Kylian Mbappe was forced to leave the 2020 Coupe de France Final in the first half after being on the end of an unnecessary challenge from AS Saint-Etienne defender Loic Perrin. Mbappe was seen riding in pain but fortunately for PSG, he was able to walk off on his own power.
Still, no manager wants to see his team’s star forward take on a challenge like this one.

Mbappe later returned to the bench to watch the conclusion of PSG’s eventual 1-0 final win over Saint-Etienne. However, he made his way to the bench walking on crutches.

This sure is not a good sign for PSG considering that its UEFA Champions League quarterfinal bout against Atalanta is just weeks away. PSG is also among the favorites to hoist the trophy in Lisbon, Portugal.
PSG will need Mbappe back in action if it wants any chance at competing against likely Atletico Madrid on its side of the bracket and possibly Manchester City or Bayern Munich in the final if the French side manages to get that far in the tournament.
