Paris Saint-German is not currently in a real need of a wide forward at the moment. They bolster multiple players who can occupy spaces out wide along with several up-and-coming prospects who have the potential to do the same. But according to one recent report, PSG may be looking to complete a shocking deal to add a player who fits this profile.
According to Tuttosport, PSG has shown recent interest in Juventus forward Douglas Costa. Per the report, sporting director Leonardo and club officials are not the only ones eyeing a deal for the Brazilian. With the recent departure of Leroy Sane to FC Bayern Munich, Manchester City is also in pursuit of a possible transfer for the winger. Any deal would be in the range of €40-50 million coupled with bonuses added on.
As the report continues, Juventus is seeking to sell Costa and reinvest the funds to acquire a striker, such as Wolverhampton’s Raul Jimenez or AS Roma’s Edin Dzeko.
Injuries have hampered Costa’s season as he has missed a bulk of time due to a muscle injury and hamstring concerns. As a result, Costa has only scored three goals in all competitions this season with just one coming in the UEFA Champions League. For a speedy winger like him, these injury concerns are essentially what he has had to deal with for years now.
