‘I Made The Right Choice’ — Former PSG Prospect Completes Move to Saint-Etienne

Former Paris Saint-Germain prospect Adil Aouchiche finally completed his long-awaited move to Ligue 1 side AS Saint-Etienne on Monday. The club announced the move via its official Twitter account.

Aouchiche signed a three-year contract, which is now his first professional contract. Following the announcement, Aouchiche shared with the club’s website his feelings on the move and what fans should expect out of him.

“I am very happy,” Aouchiche said. “It is a great pride for me to sign for AS Saint-Étienne. The supporters are magic. The city breathe football. I made the right choice. This passion gives a lot of strength. I will give the best of myself.”

Current Saint-Etienne manager Claude Puel also spoke on the signing of Aouchiche.

“We are very happy to welcome Adil to ASSE,” Puel said. “He is part of this young generation with whom we want to develop our sporting project. qualities, Adil still needs to improve and mature. We will support him in his progress by being patient and constructive, as with all the young people of quality that we are fortunate to have in our workforce.”

Aouchiche will have much to prove after electing to become a free agent following his rise within PSG’s youth system. Not only will he stay in his home country but will have the opportunity to showcase his talents against PSG twice a year in league play.

Look for Aouchiche to be a breakout candidate for the upcoming league campaign. If so, he could be a contender to soon receive a call up for the French national team.
