Zidane Finally Gives a Good Answer to Question About Mbappé Playing For Real Madrid

It didn’t take long for the Spanish media to fan the flames and ask Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane about Kylian Mbappé potentially playing for Los Blancos in the near future.

Despite the media in Madrid looking for a juicy quote to run with, in his press conference (via Canal Supporters), Zidane gave a loaded answer, and not once did he mention the name of Mbappé in his response.

“Would I like to train Kylian Mbappé? The truth is that I already have the chance to be here and to be able to train here. I don’t like to say that I’m lucky because, in life, you have to believe in what you do, enjoy what you have, and don’t think about what you don’t have,” Zidane said.

“As far as the players are concerned, I have the chance to train the best. Being in the best club in the world and training the best there, I like that. And I tell you, I enjoy training a lot more than matches. It’s beautiful.”

Perhaps Zizou knew what they were fishing for and didn’t want to get bombarded with follow up questions in his next press conference, or he knows that it’s a move that won’t occur soon. You’ll remember last November when he declared his love for Mbappé and the controversy that created.

Nonetheless, the Spanish media will continue with their plan to generate false narratives. Whether Neymar Jr. is heading back to FC Barcelona or Real Madrid closing in on Mbappé, these stories will continue.

However, the managers and players from these two Spanish clubs shouldn’t provide material for the media in Spain and besides, neither can realistically afford either player right now. Next summer might be a different story…
