Report: Roma Submit Official Offer For PSG’s All-Time Leading Scorer

When it comes to former Paris Saint-Germain striker Edinson Cavani potentially heading back to Italy, the club that offered El Matador a three-year contract is Inter Milan. However, there could be a new team coming into the fold.

Last week, the 33-year-old made it official that he wouldn’t extend his contract temporarily to compete in the UEFA Champions League with Les Parisiens and would like to focus on his post-PSG career.

According to Sport 890 (via Foot Mercato), AS Roma has made an official offer to Cavani’s representatives. The Italian club is still pondering whether to extend their current striker, Edin Džeko, or allow him to move on.

If this information is accurate, Roma could be looking at life after Džeko and in the market for a new striker, which is why they want to move forward with the Cavani offer and make him their striker for next season.

Regardless of where he goes, it will be strange to see Cavani in other colors other than those of PSG.
