Kouassi Being Pulled Between PSG, Leipzig, and Milan

Tanguy Kouassi is one of the most promising players to come through the Paris Saint-Germain academy in recent years but he’s yet to sign a professional contract with the club.

Despite making 13 appearances for the Ligue 1 champions, including becoming the club’s youngest player to start a UEFA Champions League match, Kouassi hasn’t been convinced enough to commit long-term to PSG and now we know why.

According to journalist Antonio Vitiello, the 17-year-old Frenchman is flattered by AC Milan’s interest in him. Vitiello also reports that Leipzig is still interested and that if it were up to Kouassi’s agent, the player would leave Paris for either the Bundesliga or Serie A.

PSG hasn’t given up hope of signing Kouassi to a professional contract, Vitiello tweets. It was reported earlier this season that Leonardo, PSG’s sporting director, had offered the versatile defender a contract and it was up to the player to sign it, which he obviously hasn’t done yet.

Losing Kouassi would be a blow for PSG. I believe he is a special talent and could be the future starting center-back for Les Parisiens. He’s also going to see more playing time next season with Thiago Silva expected to leave at the end of the season when his contract expires.

Hopefully, Kouassi will choose the PSG project instead of listening to his agent.
