Tottenham Hotspur Refuse to Entertain PSG’s Interest in Midfielder

Tanguy Ndombele is a midfielder that Paris Saint-Germain would love to sign when the transfer window opens up but the Frenchman is unlikely to make the switch any time soon.

According to The Athletic, Tottenham “have no intention of selling [Ndombele]” and they would prefer to hold onto the player they paid €62 million for just a year ago.

The report goes on to mention the rumors linking Ndombele with a move to PSG (he’s from the Paris suburbs) but The Athletic is confident that the 23-year-old will remain in North London and fight for his place in the team after a less than ideal season with his new club.

Now, PSG will have to wait to sign Ndombele if they really want him, which will be painful considering Lyon offered him to the Ligue 1 champions before his move to the Premier League.

A midfielder is on the list of priorities this summer but at 5’11”, Ndombele doesn’t quite fit the mold that PSG’s sporting director, Leonardo, is looking for as he wants a more physically imposing option to pair with Marco Verratti and Idrissa Gueye.
